A brief history about the shop and original owners; Quilters Haven & More was founded in 1996 from Samuel and Barbara. In 2007, Barbara passed away due to health complications, but her husband kept the store alive for an additional 14 years to honor his wife as she had been an avid artist with a passion for quilting and he did not want that dream to die.
Our New Owner
After moving to Florida in 2015, I was fortunate enough to meet an employee of the quilt shop at a community yard sale who was buying several craft supplies. We bonded over a mutual love of quilting and artistry in the craft. After this meeting, I began attending classes at Quilters Haven and More and fell in love with this quaint, local quilt shop. In 2021, when I heard the owner was going to close the store, not only was I heartbroken, but each and every loyal customer I met was equally as devastated so I couldn't bear to let that happen. As a prior small business owner myself, and a lover of the craft, I wanted to keep Barbara's dream alive and decided to purchase Quilters Haven and More.
Since purchasing the store, I have made several updates and hope to make more. My focus is to keep the store as Barbara's original vision of a love for quilting, while also bringing in some new and modern visions of a friendly, local, neighborhood quilt shop. As a local resident myself, my goal is to be a warm inviting environment for fellow quilting enthusiasts in our area (and surrounding areas), from beginner to experienced. We want to be your go to for everything from purchasing a wide array of fabrics to taking classes to learn the art all the way to purchasing the equipment needed to make that dream a realty right in your own home.
